Update

We had a good jump session yesterday. I think we made a couple of breakthroughs that will be beneficial in the coming months. The focus has been on a relaxed run and a big punch at the box. Once we started moving in the right direction, we kept getting on bigger poles and coming out the end of them much better. The ideas are simple and the results keep moving higher. I have a tough training schedule for the rest of the week with a small jump session at the end. I'll keep you up to date as we progress.

Starting a new year.

The new year has started with off season workouts. Training has been going really well and my fitness levels are starting off pretty high. I started short run vaulting a few weeks ago with some really good success. I am on bigger poles and holding higher than ever before. Technical work is really the focus right now so that everything transitions well to longer runs.

I have been training with a three day break between vault sessions and lifting, running and doing gymnastic workouts in between. Today we are looking at running stadiums and lifting, since we jumped yesterday. The next two months will be critical for the coming year. We will have a few test days including a couple of December meets to get ready for Reno.
