Update

This month has gone by quickly. Training has gone well and it has been terribly hot out. The last 3 training sessions, we have gone to a 16 step run. It has been since 2007 since I have ran from that far. I'm really pleased with the run. It has allowed more time to set up and see the box and hold a lot higher. I plan to jump one more session from there this week and put it to a test over the holiday weekend. In July, we plan to jump in several meets including Toronto, Ottowa and Timmons, Canada. It should be a nice break from the heat up north.

Update

Summer is finally upon us. Although high school and college season is ending, we are just getting started with our summer competitions. I have been jumping every fith day and working hard on getting ready for the summer meets. We have been foused on speed training and moving it to the runway. Over the last couple of weeks I have moved my run back two feet and setting up for the box much better. Today we ran 4o's for the first time and clocked a 4.48. Over the next couple of weeks we will be focused on the Southern Club Championships in Louisianna. Looks like there is an opportunity to jump in Canada and Europe during the summer along with connecting with my buddy Jay Cardiello in NYC for the detox bootcamp again in July. We look forward to some good competitions and some fun this summer before going to Jamaica in the winter.

Outside of vaulting, Louis is getting ready for his first year of school. He took some real vaults this past weekend and looked really good. When he finished a vault he wanted to know what to work on. It was pretty awesome. Chloe is crawling really well and trying to walk. She is starting to figure out some words now and trying to get into everything. We look forward to a family vacation in July before we get into the whole school thing in August. I will keep you up to date.
